More than 10 years after being crowned Miss Universe in 2004, Jennifer Hawkins has cemented her place as an Australian icon with her work as a leading media personality, entrepreneur and ambassador for many vital charities and foundations. Her social media following of 1.8 million and counting currently watch on as she ventures into many exciting projects.

Her year as Miss Universe saw her make New York City her home as she travelled the world, speaking at events as reigning Miss Universe and ambassador for organizations focusing on HIV and AIDS awareness.

This experience ignited a passion for using her position to help others and since this time Jennifer has donated not only her time but also auction items to many Australian charities including Sydney Cancer Foundation, The Sydney Children’s Hospital, Canteen, Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Butterfly Foundation and the Heart Foundation. In 2011 the Hunter Children’s Research Foundation announced Jennifer as a patron to help spread the message and build support for children’s medical research. Jennifer is currently an ambassador for The Salvation Army – 2017 saw Jennifer design a ‘Hope Bag’ which was a national sell out! In 2018 Jennifer, donated over 300 wardrobe pieces for auction, which raised over $20,000 in under a week with all proceeds going towards families in need for Red Shield Appeal.

Signing some of Australia’s most lucrative commercial contracts, Jennifer has worked with leading brands in consumer products, fashion and lifestyle including Lovable, Trinity Point, Louis Vuitton, Siren shoes and more recently Freedom Foods, Colgate, Mt Franklin and Range Rover. In 2006, Jennifer signed to become the first Australian face of Covergirl makeup.

Her contract with retail giant Myer, where she is also a major shareholder, was an industry first and over 12 years became one of the biggest partnerships in the Australian retail landscape. In 2007 Jennifer inked a supply deal with Myer to design a range of swimwear ‘Cozi by Jennifer Hawkins’ which is now one of the most recognised labels on the Australian swimwear circuit.

Adding to her ever-expanding business empire Jennifer launched Jbronze in 2013, a self-tanning range she spent over two years developing to perfection and is a sell-out in stores. Along with her husband Jake, a builder by trade, Jennifer has also diversified into property development with a number of investment properties and developments being held under their joint business; J Group Projects.

Together, Jennifer and Jake spent three years developing their own premium tequila brand Sesión after seeing a gap in the market for a 100% blue agave tequila. Jennifer was first introduced to Tequila by her husband and together they favoured the tipple whilst entertaining and holidaying. It was then they sought to capture their own taste of tequila with the perfect distilling partner. Sesión launched in 2015 and is currently produced in the rich agave fields of Jalisco, Mexico under the watchful eyes of the Beckmann family, the oldest dynasty of tequila producers with over 250 years of experience. Sesión launched internationally in 2019.

Jennifer has graced the covers of all major Australian fashion magazines and she also presented the Australian series of the famed British reality show Make Me a Supermodel and has made regular appearances on lifestyle programs The Great Outdoors and Getaway. Her dynamic hosting style has seen her lead three seasons of acclaimed reality television show, Australia’s Next Top Model on Foxtel.
